Lester Buildings is Major Sponsor of National and Regional Motorsports Again in 2007
May 8, 2007

Lester Prairie, MN – Lester Buildings, one of the country's largest manufacturers of pre-engineered post-frame buildings, has announced that it is once again sponsoring three major motorsports series: the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, the World of Outlaws Dirt Late Model Series and a top-performing tractor-pulling team in the National Tractor Pulling Association.

Tom Borgman, Lester Building's Marketing Manager, reports that the company and Tim Sauter are together again for the 2007 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Lester Buildings is the primary sponsor of Green Light Racing's #07 Chevy Silverado. "After a taste of the Busch Series the two previous years, we felt it was better to compete in a full Craftsman Truck Series schedule, with a team that has been competitive, and will continue to become more so, than settle for a partial schedule in the Busch Series. "

Sauter added, "This team has the potential to be competitive every week and I'm looking forward to represent Lester Buildings again in 2007."

According to Borgman, the company is also once again running a major promotion targeted to race fans, via Jayski.com, the popular racing news site. "It's a major sweepstakes in which one lucky race fan will win a Lester hobby/storage building, with a retail value of about $30,000," said Borgman. Interested fans can also request a voucher worth up to $1,000 cash back on a Lester building purchase.

Moving away from the concrete and asphalt of NASCAR, Lester Buildings is also continuing its long-time relationship with Chub Frank in the World of Outlaws Dirt Late Model Series. One of the top five drivers in all of dirt track racing, Frank (known nationally as "Chubzilla"), the 2005 WoO Champion appreciates the support of Lester Buildings. "We're in our second year of a three year primary sponsor contract and hopefully it will end up being longer than that!" stated Chubzilla. "We really, really appreciate their help and support that they have given us!"

Rounding out the company's engagement with race fans is its sponsorship of the Gueningsman Pulling Team, a top-performing team competing in Region 3 of the National Tractor Pulling Association.

Commenting on the company's decision to continue its involvement in motorsports, Borgman explained, "From a business standpoint, the key is tapping into a large cross-section of passionate, active lifestyle consumers. For instance, the millions of zealous NASCAR fans are well-known to exhibit the highest level of brand loyalty to companies that help sustain the sport. The folks we're reaching through these sponsorships tend to be gearheads who own boats, RVs, snowmobiles, motorcycles and the like. At some point they need improved storage and workspace that a Lester building can provide. We simply want to be associated with that passion in the long-term!"

With manufacturing facilities in Minnesota, Illinois and Virginia, Lester Buildings is one of the largest manufacturers of engineered post-frame structures in the United States. The company provides building solutions for a broad range of needs – from simple farm and ranch buildings, hobby shops and equestrian buildings to many types of commercial structures. Over 140,000 Lester buildings have been erected throughout the U.S. from the eastern seaboard to the Rocky Mountains.
