Lester Prairie, MN (March 14, 2019) – Rural Builder Magazine inducted Paul Boor, Lester Building Systems’  Vice President of Engineering and Product Development, into its Hall of Fame at the 2019 National Frame Building Expo in Louisville, Kentucky. Since 1982, Rural Builder Magazine has annually recognized individuals who have worked to advance the post-frame industry. Nominations and voting are made by standing members of the Hall of Fame, consisting of post-frame builders, suppliers and educators. Boor is one of 123 Hall of Fame members.

Boor has contributed more than 30 years to the post-frame industry as a structural engineer. He has been with Lester Building Systems since 1995. Over the years he has developed a number of hangars and clips, including the under-saddle hangar and torsion-free truss hangar. He is a member of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) and co-author of several ASABE standards and research papers. He has also been an active member of the National Frame Building Association’s technical research committee. In 2016, he developed the patented Eclipse Roof System® for Lester Building Systems. The unique patented rib and snap-on batten system allows through-fastening of 36-inch wide concealed fastener metal roof panels.

“We’re proud to have Paul on our team”, said John Hill, President of Lester Building Systems. “He continually innovates and keeps us on the leading edge when it comes to introducing value-added products to the post-frame industry.”

“I’ve had the opportunity to work with talented individuals to advance post-frame methods, and use technology to make building designs more efficient,” said Paul Boor. “I’ve had fun.”

In his spare time, Paul enjoys working on his family-run produce farm, tinkering on projects and discussing ways to protect the environment.
