Building or renovating a home is an exciting yet overwhelming venture. If you’re looking for a cost-effective, versatile, and highly customizable structure, residential pole buildings should be high on your list of options. Unlike traditional stick-built homes, these buildings use large posts or poles driven directly into the ground or mounted on a foundation, which provide support for the roof and walls. This method creates durable, open spaces ideal for a range of residential uses.
Lester Buildings’ Residential pole buildings are revolutionizing the possibilities for homeowners. Between cost savings, flexibility, and lasting durability, these homes cater to modern living at a fraction of the cost of traditional construction. Plus, their design versatility ensures that creativity knows no bounds.
If you’re ready to take the leap, consult with a trusted contractor or building company specializing in pole construction.
Getting Started
First check into the zoning and building code requirements for the city and county where your residential pole barn home, shouse or barndominium will be constructed.
Be sure that your property is zoned for your Lester post-frame home. Then have your preliminary house plan ready when you talk with your Lester representative. There are many resources available online to help you find your ideal building plan.
Lester Buildings or one of its dealers will handle the construction of the exterior (shell) of your pole building to ensure that it is structurally sound and built to last a lifetime. Many Lester dealers can act as a turn-key general contractor and handle your project from start to finish. The Lester process allows you to do it yourself or have the finishing contractors of your choice.
